Summer is Here!

The northeast is experiencing its first heat wave for the summer, with timing on the first officially day of summer.  With the weather warming, car drivers beware of cyclists and runners; cyclists beware of runners and cars; runners beware of cyclists and cars.

When the thermometer rises, I plan my workouts to the coolest part of the day mornings or evenings and my workout. I know I do better on the bike or swim in heat than run. Sometimes picking your sport than stay strict with a training plan can be more pleasurable than beating yourself to lose out on the other workouts. Training plans are a guide, not a bible to your workouts. Use the training that works with your schedule and the weather.
