Body Image

Everyone has image what their body should look like. You see another person’s body which you envy wanting their arms, legs, back or abs. As a society, we have become never satisfy which I find concerning. I have clients just wanting to lose weight then others talk about having this perfect body. We all have great bodies which we were born with those unique features. Those wanting to lose major weight for health benefits and/or to participate in a sport have it right. I exercise because I like doing the sports: swim, bike, run, kayak and hike. I do weights to reduce injury and osteoporosis. The big benefit for me with exercise is to not have high blood pressure, heart disease and Alzheimers disease which runs in my family.

When a person losing a lot weight hears another talk about not happy with their body image can be upsetting. Let’s respect our bodies we are born with and respect others were their bodies and feelings. Look at other benefits of exercise including health and living a long life.

Embrace and enjoy your wonderful body your parents gave you!
