Sometimes you make a suggestion to a client’s nutrition but not sure how far they will go. I have a few clients and friends that have acid reflux. One of my clients asked about a good gluten free cookbook. I suggested “The Gluten-Free Good Health Cookbook” by Annalise g. Roberts and Claudia Pillow, PHD. In the first couple chapters of the cookbook, it talks about balancing your PH with acid and alkaline foods. This is not only critical for those with gluten intolerance and celiac but also those with Acid Reflux. My client, Lucy said it has help her a lot to not to depend on any medications for acid reflux. She feels the rewards every day in her life.
This is Lucy thoughts and what she does to help herself from reading that cookbook, which she feels the: “The drops that I mentioned are called Alkazone: Balance Your PH and can be found on Amazon. The other thing that is important is to drink 8 ounces of water with ½ a lemon squeezed into it first thing in the morning before eating or drinking anything else. Even though lemon is citrus, it digests down to be alkaline. I’ve found that it’s very important to do that too. And if someone has a chance during to drink lemon water, it’s a good thing to do. But it has to be fresh lemon. It has really helped me.”
